2.5. The no-limits nature of this novel really means it can go either way, depending on whether or not you buy into the absurdness. While it was entertaining to me as a fully-invested reader, I still don’t know that I would ever honestly recommend this book to anyone (especially without a content warning) Even so, kudos to Murata for creating a creative, absurd work that dares to breach some gnarly subject matter.
