Major props go to Ferdia Lennon for taking on such an ambitious and creative premise for his debut novel-- Glorious Exploits is a lot of fun, with the voice of the characters being an especially enjoyable highlight. The story's ingenious setup makes for a literary playground that Lennon takes full advantage of, and the narrative ends up being a worthy tribute to the arts of poetry and the theatre, as well as a solid exploration of the themes of love, friendship, and war.
