The Twilight Zone

This was a difficult book for me to connect with. Its repetitions and refrains created a kind of hypnotic rhythm, but over time they blurred together and left little that felt lasting.

I recognize the care and intent of recognizing violence and historical atrocity, yet I couldn’t anchor myself to the characters, and without that connection the story slipped quickly from memory.
