This Is How You Lose the Time War

As you might guess from the title, This Is How You Lose the Time War involves time travel and war, but at the heart of this novella is the blissfully poetic correspondence of the two main characters. El-Mohtar and Gladstone layer in lyrical world-building between the letters that plunges the reader deeper into the beauty and mystery of their universe. As long as the reader enjoys expressive language, the one hang up they may face is the plausibility of the relationship that is central to this story. But, whether or not their relationship comes off as contrived, accompanying these characters on their journey ends up being a beautiful ride.
